Its catalytic Ex sensor is highly sensitive, providing quick warnings for explosive gases and vapors. The sensor resists poisons like silicone and hydrogen sulfide. With long-term stability, it has a sensor lifespan of over four years, reducing operational costs.
- Durable Sensor Technology: Equipped with XXS sensor technology, it ensures maximum safety at low operational costs. The sensors are resistant and stable, lasting over four years, reducing operational costs.
- Robust and Watertight: The device is water and dust-resistant (IP 67). It remains functional even after being dropped in water. It has integrated rubber protection and shock-proof sensors for impact resistance. It is also resistant to electromagnetic interference.
- External Pump: An optional external pump operates with a 45-meter hose for pre-entry measurements into confined spaces. The pump starts automatically when attached.

- Bump Tests and Calibrations: Function or bump tests and calibrations are simple and fast. The Drager X-dock and Dräger Bump Test Station save time and reduce workload.
- Flexible Power Supply: The device can use alkaline batteries or a rechargeable NiMh T4 battery. The Save Energy Mode extends operating time to over 40 hours by adjusting the measurement interval.
